Vietnam garment exports have surged on US–China trade conflict – Although garments are not subject to the new US tariffs yet, international garment and textile manufacturers are acquiring more equipment and facilities to expand their production lines in Vietnam to cope with the huge increase in orders. In addition, to follow the Industry 4.0 trend, Vietnam is investing heavily in its textile and garment production, with foreign investors investing over USD 2 billion in the first eight months of 2018, stimulating the demand for textile and garment machines in Vietnam.
